Be humble!

This week I was brought back to a memory I had from a long time ago: I was with the family at Disneyland it was dark outside and we were standing in a long line for Splash Mountain as we were standing there a bird pooped on Dads hat! We all thought it was so funny! On Saturday this week I gave my companion the map and told him he would be guiding us around. At one point we stopped under a tree to check the map. a bird pooped on us, this was a big bird, and most of it landed in my hair! ha ha it was so funny!
We have been doing a lot of knocking this week, always a lot of fun! One day, we had 3 appointments set up and they all flogged! So we went street contacting and knocking after a couple of hours of people not being to happy with us we felt a little down. So we started talking about humility and maybe the Lord was humbling us. Heavenly Father has a sense of humor we stopped and sat down to pray. After my companion said the prayer I flipped through the Book of Mormon opened to a random page and put my finger somewhere and said the Lord wants to tell us something, them I read these words from Alma 32:16 "blessed are they who humble themselves without being compelled to be humble." We thought it was pretty funny. Being that we were just talking about being humble. But the cool part of the story is that after that almost every person we stopped before we got to the train stopped and talked with us, it was great! I love this work. These 4 weeks have been some of the best weeks on my mission. Elder Oleson and I have so much fun, we love working together. I love you all and I am grateful for your support and prayers. Now I ask  you one thing, my brother is going out on his mission and he better get just as much support as I did. I love him and he is going to be a great missionary. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, just like I will be doing! Have a great week! Cheers!
