Goodbye BATH!
Goodbye Bath!! What a scary thing for me to say! I am a bit nervous, but I'm excited to leave at the same time. I don't know where I'm going yet, but I know I'm leaving because my companion is training a Mini Missionary in Bath. Its been a good week. We have been doing a lot of finding. The Book of Mormon play is coming soon. It is going to be really big in London. We are having a Zone Conference in the next couple weeks to go over the questions people will be asking us, and how we can take advantage of this opportunity to teach people about the Restored Gospel. I'm excited for the this because I love the Book of Mormon! I wish I would have gotten into it more before I came on my mission. There are so many sweet stories and lessons we can learn. While we did finding this week, we really focused on using the Book of Mormon as the main topic when we met people. On one door in particular. A lady answered the door, when she saw us she started laughing, not a good start. We told her who we were, that we were sharing a message about how God has restored truth to the Earth through a prophet. We told her the evidence of this truth is found in a book, called the Book of Mormon. We gave her to book to hold, she looked at us and said "I have been trying to find something or someone that can help me and my son." The most overwhelming feeling came into my heart and the only thing I could do was bare my testimony of the Bool of Mormon. We will see her tomorrow, and I'm so excited! The Book of Mormon truly is the most powerful and real book on Earth. We are blessed to have it in our lives. READ IT!! I love you all, thanks for you support, your letters, your cards for my B-Day, it really means the world too me! Have a great week! Cheers!!

Winter wonderland!
Snow, snow, snow! This week I felt like I was back in Utah. We woke up to 3-4 inches of snow on the ground on Friday morning! It was a winter wonderland. Bath looks beautiful covered in white. England is not very good at handling snow. On Friday, none of the buses were working all day. We did a lot of walking trying to get places. It has been a really good week. We had zone conference this week. We were informed that in the next 3 months we will be getting about 60 new missionaries. Pres. said that almost every ward in the mission will have 2 sets of missionaries. I am excited to see how much everything is going change and how much the work will improve. We have seen Chahra and Martin 4 times this week. They are doing a lot better. They are reading and praying everyday, and they have noticed the spirit. They were planning on coming to church this week, but church was cancelled because of the snow. We ended up having a small sacrament meeting in a members home. There were about 12 of us, and 6 were kids. The Spirit was very strong in that small meeting. I have always thought it has been hard trying to teach investigators the lessons. Then I tried explaining American Football to some English people.... They don't have a clue of how it works. I'm so excited to hear about Hunter. I have been freaking out all week, telling everyone I talked to that my brother was getting his mission call. I'm excited to share our experiences with one another. I know my family is going to be blessed because of it. This could be my last full week in Bath, moves are a week from Wednesday. I might be moving! It would be a birthday to remember if I left Bath on that day! Thanks for you prayers and all your support, it means a lot to me.
Cheers!

What a great time!
What a great time to be in England, cold and very wet. I don't think there is anything better I love it!(: It was supposed to snow last night, but that didn't happen, just rain! It has been a good week though! We have been working hard on finding people. One thing my companion and I have really been working on is teaching people on the door or on the street until they tell us to stop. We have shared the message of the restoration many times, and each time you can feel the spirit. Its good to bare your testimony. The last couple of times I've born my testimony I have had to yell it because we are standing right on the road. Its really fun! We have given out a lot of Book of Mormons this week and many people say they will call us, so hopefully we'll see some miracles and get some calls! What a blessing it is to be serving the Lord. So many different experiences that you would never experience unless you serve a mission. Still loving Bath! Next transfers is on my Birthday! I'll probably be leaving the best area in the world.): But its okay, I'm excited for change.
Have a great week! Cheers

Go forth!
It has been quite a week to start out 2013!! We have been blessed because it has been raining so much! haha. On New Years Eve my companion and I stayed up till 12. I had some pots and pans and was out the window banging them and saying "Happy New Year Bath!" It was a little different then from being up at Bear Lake, but I loved it! My companion thought I was crazy! We have been doing a lot of knocking and we met this funny guy from Nepal. He is really lazy, and he admits it every 5 min. We taught him twice and he said we could keep coming, so hopefully he will keep the commitments. Yesterday we had about 20 min. before our dinner appointment so we rang some buzzers on a big block of flats. Someone let us in! It was 3 born again Christians. We taught them about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. We are going back to see them later this week! So we have found 4 new people this week! What a miracle! Cool Chapter from the Book of Mormon for you: Alma 47. Compare Amelickiah to the Devil. Watch what he does to get Lehonti down from the mountain. We need to stay on top of the mount. Stay Strong, don't give into any of the small temptations that Satan will try and use on you.
Cheers- Elder Hanks

2013 dedicated to the Lord!
The week of Christmas and New Year is always my favorite week of the year! I really did miss being up at Bear Lake this week. But I'm glad I was able to be here in England! I loved seeing you guys at Christmas, it was so cool. I was a little homesick afterward, but it went away pretty quick! We were with the Broads the rest of the night so they took good care of us! This is the last day of 2012. Are Hunters papers in? I'm excited to see where he will be going! I gave a talk in Church yesterday. I was so nervous but I feel like I did well! I spoke about prayer and the Holy Ghost. What a blessing it is to have the gift of the Holy Ghost with us as long as we are worthy of it. Prayer is how we communicate with our Heavenly Father. He will always be there for us. Hope everyone has some good goals for the upcoming year! I'm excited to spend my whole 2013 year dedicated to the Lord! Love you all! Cheers!
