Road Show!

It has been a superb week. The start of the week was interesting.. On Tuesday evening after a dinner appointment we were doing some contacting down the street, it was dark, it gets dark around 5:00 pm. And while in the middle of teaching someone on the street, a police car pulled up to us... Told the fellow we were talking to to leave, then told us that we were not allowed to contact after the sun went down... They are worried that if we keep doing it, people will complain. So that was fun... Another funny story this week. One evening we  were talking to a referral.  She was a nice Jamaican girl and her Birthday Day is around the same time as mine. Then she guessed how old we each were... she thought I was 27..... ha ha what???  We were also apart of a road show this week. I played the part of Jesus Christ in the First Vision and a missionary. Our show was pretty cool, we had a big white sheet and a big light behind it, the music told the story. The theme was "light and truth restored", we started with the first vision, then went on the missionaries going to England, and ended with a family entering the Temple. It was brilliant. The highlight of the week has to be Terence. He is the YSA from Cameroon and we have been teaching him now for about 3 weeks, and all 3 weeks he has been to church. Last night, we invited him to be baptized. He accepted, and has no concerns. He will be Baptized on the 14 Dec. He is super solid, and is definitely going to be a kingdom builder. Work is going really well here in Crystal Palace, I love it here. Thanks for all your support and prayers. I love you all!! Cheers!!!!

Going to the Temple!

This week has been a brilliant week! We got to go to the Temple on Saturday! One of our investigators named Terence from Cameroon really wanted to go, so Bishop was able to take us all there. Going to the Temple is such a blessing, especially with investigators. The spirit at the Temple is so strong, and you can just feel there is something special about it.  I have been learning some of the different African languages, like Nigerian, Ghanain, some Jamaican slang, and a few others. It is so funny when you stop people and they say where they are from and you say something in there language... they just light up and wanna give you a hug! We are working with a good group of people, but our struggle is getting them to church. Our district is made up of me, the only American, my companion a English lad, a new missionary from Madagascar, and the other 3 are from the Philippines. These last 2 weeks the Philippinoes from the District have been very worried about their families. We have been praying for the people in the Philippines, and each of the missionaries found out last week that all their families are okay. I am blessed to be in England where the only thing I would ever have to worry about is flooding, but our flat is an upstairs flat, so even that isn't a worry. Thanks for every one's prayers and support. I love you all, have a brilliant week!! Cheer!

The Holy Ghost is working!

This week has been great! We have been meeting with a lot of cool people and have taught a lot this week! We have one person with a baptismal date, and by the end of this week we should have 2 more. Our baptismal date is a 18 year old girl who has a 2 year old son. She is a single mother and has had a tough life. Teaching her is like teaching a primary kid, we have to make it very simple so she can understand. It is a good thing the Gospel is simple. She always tells us that she feels really good when she prays, the Holy Ghost is working. Yesterday at church we had the most Priesthood holders at church then they have had in the last couple years, there was about 20 there yesterday!!! It was brilliant. We work a lot with Less Active and more specifically Less Active priesthood holders because my companion is the Elders Quorum president. I love this area and this ward, today is moves, and I pray I don't leave. Thanks again for all the support and prayers! I love and miss you all!! Cheers!!
