so happy!

This week has been so good!!!  We had the baptism of Selam and Yassmin. It was a great experience, they were both so happy and felt "so clean" coming up out of the water. After the baptism, we went to our next appointment with another investigator that we have, we read from the Book of Mormon with her, 2 Nephi 31, where Nephi teaches us about why Christ was baptized. The spirit was so strong... we invited her to be baptized on the 18 January and she accepted, it was a miracle. We have invited her 3 or 4 times already, but reading from the Book of Mormon with her was what made the difference.

Today we are going to sing on Westminster Bridge. We have about 25 missionaries in total and it should be fun. The only problem is... rain and wind. It has been raining and windy for the last couple days and from what I heard last, it is supposed to be like this for a couple more days. I hope you all have a Marry Christmas!! Thanks for you love and support!!

Boldly bearing testimony!

It has been a tough week... All three of our baptisms didn't happen, they all cancelled about 3 days days before the day. So it was hard, we ate a lot of chocolate that day, it helped, the good news is that 2 of them should be baptized this Saturday. Selam and Yassmin, they came to the Christmas Party and Church, and everything is planned for their baptism so pray it happens. Terence, the other date is struggling. His family does not approve of him getting baptized. He is 27 years old and realizes it is his own decision, but it could ruin the relationship with the family. He wants to get baptized, but wants his families support as well.
This week I had a fun experience with the Irish on Thursday. I was speaking to a guy at the train station, he was from Ireland and got a little upset about why God would need to reveal more scripture and basically everyone in the station ended up listening to our conversion, even my companion and the man he was speaking to listened in. I bore my testimony, our train came I left him a card and got on the train, sat next to a lady and started speaking with her.. .she was Irish as well.. at first she was very nice, but then she started freaking out about Joseph Smith and The Book of Mormon and that it is all a joke.. everyone on that coach of the train was also able to hear our conversation as well. I loved it. I don't care what the situations is, boldly bearing your testimony about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon is something people can't really argue with. Even though I got made fun of and yelled at, I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know Joseph Smith is a prophet, and I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true and living church on the earth today, and everyone at the  train station and on that coach of the train now knows what I know to be true. I love being here, I love my Savior and I'm glad He has Restored his Church back on the earth today in these last days.  I love you all, thanks for your prayers and support!! Cheers!!

Baptismal dates!

It has been a fun week! We have been spending a lot of time with our baptismal dates. We had interviews with President Millar this week.. I walked in and he was on his ipad and the first thing he said to me was the day I was going home!! I was not expecting that! We need 80 people on average for the rest of this month if we want to build a chapel in Chrystal Palace, so we now have members of the stake coming to our sacrament meetings. we had a lot of people at church yesterday. This week we had a priesthood activity, we went bowling, and since Terence was able to come, we got permission to go also, that was fun, my bowling skills were a bit rusty... ha ha. We are excited for our 3 baptisms this week, each of them have become like family to us.  We are planning on going to sing on Westminster Bridge on the 23rd for christmas. Thanks for all your prayers and support! Have a brilliant week!! Cheers!!

The work is moving forward!

It has been a brilliant week!! This week we started out with 1 baptismal date, and now we have 3!!! They are all for the 14 of Dec. it will be epic to have 3 baptisms 11 days before Christmas, I can't think of a better gift. Our baptism dates are: Terence, Selam, and Yassmin (Selam's 10 year old daughter). All three of them are super excited about their baptisms as well, so we pray that nothing changes that. They all were at church yesterday, and Selam also has 2 other daughters, one that is 3 and one that is 5. It was great having the whole family come to church. The ward already loves them, they will be a big help to the this ward.

Since I have been in Chrystal Palace we average about 40-50 people at church. Yesterday there was 65. If we keep it up the rest of this month they will start to build a chapel for the Crystal Palace ward, which would start at the end of January. The ward is doing really well, everyone is starting to catch the missionary spirit, and inviting Less Actives, and nonmember friends to church, its great!

We also had a conference this week. Elder Teixeira, from the area presidency, came and visited the mission. He is a great guy and we learned so much from him. I love conferences, you always feel inspired and have a stronger desire to work harder. We are excited for another week and are hoping to have a couple more dates if all goes well. The work is moving foward and it is an hounor to be apart of it. Thanks again for all your prayers and support. I hope you all have a lovely week!! Stay warm!! Cheers!!
