First Book of Mormon

Mom i have received your letters, thank you very much. My companion is a very funny kid. The food here is great, and they are taking very good care of me. I am starting to sleep very well which is making it harder to wake up, but that's okay. I have been doing great and haven't thought of anything i need. The hardest thing i am still getting used to is sitting in a class room most the day and wearing a suit all day.

So on Friday we went into Manchester city and started street contacting, and i had the coolest experience. We got off the train and got into the city and me and my companion saw two ladies sitting on a bench so we decided to go talk to them, i was very nervous! We started talking to her and telling her a little about ourselves and asking some questions, then we started telling her about our church and the book of Mormon and all that stuff, and she asked if she could have a book of Mormon and asked if we could some visit her again! So we got all her info and wrote it down and the missionaries will go see her this week. The first person i talk to on my mission takes the BOM and then wants to here more. It was pretty awesome. The rest of the day wasn't that great but we handed out one more BOM. When we were in the City it was very rainy so not many people would stop and listen but it was a good learning experience and we are going back on Friday hoping for some better weather. Saturday was awesome. It was a little rainy but not too bad so they let us go play football(soccer) on the pitch, which they usually don't if its wet, but they did anyway. We started playing and the grass was very slippery, then it started pouring rain, and surprisingly they let us stay out! Everyone was soaked and muddy and falling and sliding around, we were lucky nobody got hurt, but it was the funnest game of football i have played! Sunday was also a great day, we visited all the church history sites around Preston. We went to Avenham Park and River Ribble, and 15 Wadham road which is were president Hinckley's apt. was when he served his mission, it was very cool to have his daughter there telling us stories of some of his experiences there. Then we went to Chatburn and Downham were many of the first members of the church in England were baptised, it was an awesome town, Grandma and mom would have loved it. After the church history tour we had Stake Conference which we had to sing in! It was weird sitting in a chapel and seeing so many members walk in and none of them your family or friends. The singing was good, but the meeting was so hot, they have no air conditioning in the building and we were in our suits so i was sweating for about 2 hours! The mission president for the Manchester mission was there and we talked about Tanner for a little so that was cool.

It is weird not to talk or see you guys but I'm doing just great. I have a lot of emails from friends but I'm not allowed to reply to them, so have Hunter go onto my face book and put down my address. How is everything at home, i heard grandma broke arm, that's sad. Have you guys gone boating yet? How is the NBA playoffs coming? If you know about football here its is a lot easier to have conversations with people. We had a member of the seventy here on Sunday and it was cool to hear him. We have another one coming on Wednesday night and i have to conduct that meeting. We been fasting since after lunch yesterday in preparation to go the the temple today, the temple was awesome as it always is, but i get to go eat and drink in about 20 min so I'm very excited for that. I love all of you and Brendon and Garrett should be going in soon, that's crazy, the days here are very long but the weeks go by fast. I hope everything is well at home, i pray for you every night. I love you, gotta go!
